This is an awesome family...extended from mine actually.  This is my cousin and her family.  I was so excited when she called me to do this shoot!  I had so much fun with them, too!

{K} Family

I've known this lovely lady for around 10 years.  She was high school friends with my sister and I met her through her.  After doing my sister's photo shoot, she scheduled a time with me to do hers'.  I'm so happy that she did!  I had so much fun with her and her kids!  With this shoot, I decided to put different pictures up than the ones I have on Facebook.  So without further ado, here's some of their best shots!

{H} Family

I was recently able to do a photoshoot with my sister's family.  We've been talking about it for quite a while when we finally set a date and did it.  It was the first day of the cool weather in our area and it was such a nice evening!  We had a great time and I got some really great shot of her awesome family.  Here they are:

{L} Family

My first multi-family shoot!  There was a family of 6 and the 4 kids' families.  It was lots of fun...but we had a few sad moments.  Overall, I think we got some really good shots of the groups and individuals.  I'm only going to share a couple on here, but I have more on my facebook page at www.facebook.com/sweetsadiephotography

 

{M} Family

My last time shooting the {M} family was just about a year ago.  I've changed my "name" and learned a TON since then, I'll show a few pictures that I liked from that shoot a year ago and a few from last month.  Enjoy :)

The previous pictures were over saturated and too contrasted...but these next ones are pictures from last month.  More from then because I like the turnouts better!

Baby {T}

My second newborn shoot!  This one was a little easier...but I'm sure it takes time to learn how to best pose little ones.  Here are my favorites :)

Skin Softening Technique

I just wanted to post a picture showing the new technique that I learned today!  My sister had a baby in November of last year and I took her newborn portraits.  She was my first newborn to "shoot" and so I really wasn't sure of how to do different things.  One thing that I didn't know how to do well was skin softening.  I've seen a few videos and tried a few times, but never liked the end result, so I just went back to the best I could do with "band-aid" tool and stuff like that.  Well after seeing this video and trying it out (all but airbrush), I'm so pleased with the end result!  Here is a side-by-side with my original edit and the new edit...wow, my original edit looks bad, lol! 

I believe since I was able to find it and get help from it, I should share it with others that may be having the same problem, so I hope this helps with your editing :)

I've been very busy with life lately, but not as much with photography.  We're getting ready to move and have been doing all that goes with that.  But recently I decided I wanted to do new portraits of my kiddos.  So I took them out, one by one, and did a mini-shoot with them and ended up with 3 great portraits (one of each).  I ended up with some other fun ones, but these are the ones that I LOVE!

I have some fun stuff coming up in the next month, so I'll be posting them when the time comes.  Have a great summer!

I had an engagement shoot recently and we had a blast!  The couple was so much fun to be around.  You could also see how in love they were!  Here are some of my favorites from their shoot.

 

My photography

I've enjoyed taking pictures for as long as I can remember.  I never thought to study it, I just enjoyed doing it.  Last year I was able to purchase a new camera, a DSLR.  I was thrilled!  I did some research, but didn't have a lot of money to spend on it, so I went with a Sony A23o.  I loved it, and still do!  Around July, 2011 I started getting serious about learning all the photography lingo and figuring out how to shoot in manual.  After loads of practicing (enough to drive my family crazy), I started practicing on others.  Each time I practiced, I learned more and remembered more.  I also enjoyed it more and more!  There were times that I was discouraged, but each time that would happen, I would go figure out what went wrong and fixed it or learned how to avoid it.  Here is some of my best work (in my opinion).
